JAMB COMPUTER-BASED TEST (CBT) ENDED.
The 2014/2015 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer Based Test (CBT) examination for candidates seeking admission into Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics and Collages of Education came to an end recently.
The examinations, which commenced on Saturday May 17th 2014, were held at Ikechukwu Iheanacho ICT Centre (IIIC) of Federal University Oye-Ekiti. The Centre is one of the JAMB examination centres nationwide for the computer-based test.
The candidates, numbering 3,738, sat the exams in batches according to their scheduled days, date and time.
The exams which lasted for six days were split in two sessions (morning and afternoon) of each day with 350 candidates sitting in a session. The sessions ran from 7am to 10am and 12pm to 3pm respectively on each day.
The exams were supervised by JAMB officials headed by Mr. Ibrahim Kawu with the assistance of FUOYE staff, while men of Nigerian Civil Defence Corps and FUOYE security personnel provided security.
By 2015, JAMB examinations for admission into tertiary institutions of learning will be written only on computer. The pencil and paper method will have been phased out. This is a challenge for candidates who must be computer-literate to write the examination.
