Magic Trading and DEFAB Nigeria Showcase Their Services in FUOYE

Two companies, Magic Trading West Africa Limited and DEFAB Nigeria Limited, were recently at Federal University Oye-Ekiti for an interactive meeting with some members of the university community on the provision of branding and security services to the university.

Prince Adedotun Daniels, representing Magic Trading, displayed some samples of the branding services which included an academic gown and cap, branded T-shirts, a feather banner and roll up banners bearing the university mission and vision statements.

During his presentation, Prince Daniels revealed that Magic Trading products included, inter alia, logo designs, direct printing on lanyards and printing of holograms on ID cards to check forgery. He said that the university’s brand logo on a “meaningful gift item which cannot be thrown away” could go a long way in projecting the image of the university to the world.

Magic Trading also announced, as part of its package, its preparedness to empower the students in the form of training them in printing on lanyards and creating holograms. According to him, the training would, in addition to equipping the benefitting students for self-reliance, save the university cost of obtaining commercial printing services.

On his part, Mr. Femi Ojo, representing DEFAB Nigeria Limited, presented and demonstrated the use of some security and surveillance gadgets which could enhance the job of security personnel. Private individuals can also avail themselves of those products, especially the stun gun which could come handy in self-defence.

A most interesting product in display was the signal jammer which had the capacity to lock (with just a click of the button) cell phones within a certain radius and prevent them from functioning. The signal jammer will interest conveners, organisers of meetings and conventions, as well as church pastors and overseers.

Other items presented by DEFAB included the under-vehicle bomb search mirror kits, video recorder in belts, chew gum packs, wall clocks, pens, thermometers, and any other conceivable article of clothing and furniture where a video camera can be hidden.

Present at the occasion was the Ag. Registrar, Mr. Daniel Adeyemo, who had earlier remarked that the university was growing; thus to let the outside world know about its activities was of paramount importance. Mr. Adeyemo therefore noted that there was need for branding to create a corporate identity through souvenirs and other promotional gifts that would project the image of the university to the public. The Coordinator Entrepreneurial Unit, Mr. Lanre Ogunjobi was also at the presentation, as well as some other staff of FUOYE.
