    Cholera is a highly infectious disease caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae.

    Protect Yourself and university Community from Cholera!

    Mode of Transmission:

    • ingestion of Contaminated food and water.
    • Eating Raw or undercooked seafood.
    • Direct contact with infected person’s feces or vomit.
    • Poor hygiene and sanitation.

    Symptoms:

    • Severe Watery Diarrhea
    • Nausea and Vomiting
    • Dehydration
    • Abdominal cramps

    Prevention is Key!

    • Drink safe water (boiled or treated).
    • Wash hands frequently with soap and water.
    • Avoid raw or undercooked food.
    • Keep surroundings clean.
    • Avoid close contact with infected people

    Take Action!

    • Report immediately to the hospital/ health facility.
    • Report suspected cases to health authorities.
    • Support community-led initiatives for clean water and sanitation.
