Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has been adjudged to have performed admirably well among other Universities in Nigeria. The upwardly mobile University has also been rated high in other categories of rankings in the recently released World Scientist and University Rankings 2024 which was made public via the internet on November 23, 2023.
According to a statement made available to the university media team by Associate Professor Olusola Ayanda who is Special Assistant on Digital Transformation and Technology to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, the University came top ~tops~ in four categories of the rankings.
The statement reads in part: “In the recently released rankings by AD Scientific Index Ltd., Federal University Oye-Ekiti has emerged 19th position among Young Universities in Nigeria. Other categories are Public Universities in Nigeria, All Universities in Nigeria and All types Institutions in Nigeria where Federal University Oye-Ekiti emerged 22nd, 27th and 30th positions, respectively out of 267 institutions in Nigeria.
“Two (2) academic staff members are listed in the Scientists in the World Top 20% category, while four (4) emerged in the Scientists in World Top 30% category.
“According to AD Scientific Index Ltd., the Top 10 scientists at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti are, Olayide Lawal, faculty of Sciences, J. Shola Omotola, faculty of Social Sciences, Bukola Olalekan Bolaji, faculty of Agriculture, Sunday Adepoju Adedini, faculty of Social Sciences, Olushola Sunday Ayanda, faculty of Agriculture, Olusola Ojo, faculty of science, Anthony Abayomi Adebayo, Lorreta Favor Chizomam Ntoimo, Simeon Oyepata Joseph and Hammed Mogaji.
