The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE )has been ranked among 26 outstanding Nigerian Universities by Times Higher Education (Impact Rankings 2024).

According to a statement from the Vice-Chancellor’s Special Assistant on Digital Advancement and Transformation , Associate Professor Olusola Ayanda, the impact ranking by the Times Higher Education evaluates universities in relation to multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. To be eligible for THE Impact Rankings, a University must have published a minimum of 150 articles in Scopus for 5 conservative years.”

Dr. Ayanda disclosed further that: “According to Scopus statistics, Federal University Oye-Ekiti recorded a total of 205 articles in the year 2020, 341 articles in 2021, 342 articles in 2022, 359 articles in 2023 and 181 articles (still counting) in the current year 2024.”
The foregoing outstanding performance on research and its publications qualified FUOYE for the enviable ranking.
“While commending the academic staff of the University for their giant strides, the Vice-Chancellor of the Institution, Prof Abayomi Fasina encouraged staff to align their research and publications to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” Dr. Ayanda said.
