The Congress of University Academics (CONUA), Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) chapter, is hosting the University community, Nigerian students and other national figures at its first edition of an annual symposium which features lectures on labour activities, matters, academic matters and official engagement among others.
The lectures will be delivered by respected national figures who included the Director General, Micheal Imoudu National Institute of Labour Studies, Comrade lssa Aremu , A professor of Food Science and Technology, Prof. Mojisola Oyarekua and CONUA National President, Comrade Dr. Niyi Sumonu and a special address by the Vice-Chancellor, FUOYE, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina.

According to a press release made available on Monday to the University media team by CONUA’s Spokesman and Assistqnt Secretary in FUOYE, Comrade Wole Odunjo-Saka, the symposium holds on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 9am.

Odunjo’s statement reads in part:”
You are cordially invited as our guest at the Maiden Edition of CONUA-FUOYE Annual Symposium.
This Annual Symposium will feature a *thought-provoking lecture* by a renowned labour activist – *Cmr. Issa Aremu* (DG, Michael Imoudu National Institute of Labour Studies, Ilorin, Kwara state).
This will be followed with a Keynote address by *CONUA National President – Cmr. Dr. Niyi Sumonu.*
Also, a brief remark will come from *FUOYE VC – Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina.
There will also be a ground breaking of the local secretariat of CONUA.
