Convocation : FUOYE ex-SUG President hails VC over Laudable achievements

The immediate past President of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti Students’ Union (FUOYESU), Comrade Alabi Johnson has hailed the Vice-Chancellor of the institution over what he described as highly commendable performance in office as the Chief Executive of the lvory Tower.
Alabi, who is one of the teeming graduands of FUOYE of the 2019/2020 academic session whose Convocation ceremony alongside the 2018/2019 session, held on December 18, 2021, said he decided to pen few lines to appreciate the VC for his admirable performance since he began directing the affairs of the University from February 11, 2021.
The First Class graduand from FUOYE, listed several achievements of the Prof. Fasina led administration in a show of gratitude on behalf of students who have been impressed with the current administration’s performance.
His words: “Beyond the written words, the actions to a great University become so impeccable with our dear great professor, the doing of great and better FUOYE, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina. Living the reality of the great Citadel of learning did not only become visible, it’s so extensive in the entire status quo of an entire community.
“The Vice-chancellor, giving great valuable service, sacrifices, and unrelenting efforts in making the institution a world-class standard. The entire student calls you, the performing Vice-Chancellor.
“The relentless effort put in place since assumption of office has boosted the trust of our dear students, the intellectual capacity of our students, and the development of the University. You have always considered the welfare of the students as your priority in order to greatly motivate our union.
“We strongly look forward to great recognition with the international community, which is part of your desire, not just for recognition, but also for FUOYE to be a force to reckon with in global tertiary education activities.
“We have seen a relentless and passionate concern for student security via the provision of campus street lights. No more absolute blackout at night, on both campuses. Another milestone focuses on renewable energy to power the University which means a self-dependence campus’ creating solutions to the community at large on power.
“The swift running of the academic calendar without any disruption, is a key feature of capacity building. No break-in communication of knowledge.
“We appreciate your efforts towards making sure that students are gainfully employed with the study work scheme you have introduced. This is an example of your fatherly love towards making the Nigerian students of this great citadel tools for national transformation.
“The construction of more classrooms and other infrastructural development on both campuses which will ensure effective learning for the noble students of Our great citadel; the commencement of new programmes on campus which is not limited to part time programmes but also other full time new courses which gives a wider scope of learning to students is highly commendable.
“Under you productive and effecient leadership, the faculties of Engineering and Agriculture have began to become more productive and gain commercial success thereby shoring up the internal revenue of the University. Also, your prudent financial procedures and student support funds through the University management and the continued support for insurance policy for indugents the students are great efforts worthy of commendation.
And so we use this medium to say countless thanks to you our great father, mentor and leader, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, alias God wins.
“As part of our demands to gainfully employ our student’s during the inaugural ceremony into office, becoming a reality as the University gives opportunities to all first class graduates of the University. Kudos to the great and better FUOYE, ” he said.
