His words: “On behalf of the Management team and the Governing Council of our great Ivory Tower, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), I wish you all the best as we Christians celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The birth of Jesus who is also called Prince of peace , Hope of Glory and Emmanuel (meaning God is with us) brings immense hope for the survival of humanity here and beyond, and in this spirit, l enjoin you all to be hopeful of greater future for our University and our country, Nigeria as a whole.

“Do not allow despair to rob you of the joy and peace that come with the Christmas celebration but have faith, strong hope and trust in God because He will soon bring much brighter smiles on our faces. We will triumph in the end.

“To my fellow Christian brethren, let us share love and spread joy during this season. We are the salt of the earth and our presence on this earthly plane should bring joy and hope to others. Let us keep hope alive us as our great God shall bring brighter smile on our faces pretty soon. May we all celebrate this Christmas and the coming year in great joy, excellent of mind and under the awesome presence and protection of the most high God in Jesus mighty name, amen,” Prof Fasina said.
