…lauds VC’s exploits in FUOYE’s rapid transformation

Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council Federal University Oye- Ekiti (FUOYE), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN) has congratulated fresh graduates of the institution at the 9th Convocation Ceremony of the institution held on Friday, 21st February 2025.

He also charged them to be good ambassadors of the institution.
Senator Ndoma-Eba said: “Let me extend my heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students. Today, you have secured a lasting place in history as honoured members of the ever-great family of FUOYE. I congratulate you all for reaching this very important milestone, and I urge you to be good and proud ambassadors of this great citadel of learning with the virtues of love, honesty, and excellence.
“You have laboured for it, and you deserve to celebrate and be celebrated today. I enjoin you to be conscious of the fact that your convocation today marks only the end of one journey and the start of another, especially the journey of life.

“This is a crucial point that comes with opportunities and challenges. The choices you make here-after will go a long way in shaping your career in the future.
“I want you to always remember where you are coming from and where you are heading. The determination, diligence, hardwork and honesty you put into your endeavours will ensure the sky is not just your limit, but your starting point.”
Meanwhile, Senator Ndoma-Egba seized the opportunity to heap praises on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina for the rapid and exponential growth and development FUOYE has experienced since the commencement of his administration.
He said : “The progress we have witnessed is a testament to the efforts being made by the Vice- Chancellor and the results are evident.
“I also want to use this opportunity to salute my predecessors for the solid foundation they have laid for our growth and I must particularly mention my immediate past predecessor here in FUOYE, who also happens to be my successor in Lokoja, Engineer Kayode Ojo but has since been redeployed again to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.”

He, however, reaffirmed the Council’s commitment under his chairmanship to advance the cause of the university and support its growth, particularly in the areas of academic programmes, research, infrastructure, networking and human resources development, both locally and internationally.
