The Federal University Oye-Ekiti Strategic Registry Workshop concluded on 25 September 2026 with a strong call for the repositioning of the University Registry to meet the demands of modern, technology-driven university administration.

The workshop, themed “University Registry Administration in a Changing Higher Education Environment: Challenges, Opportunities and Best Practices,” brought together Registry officers for three days of professional engagement, knowledge sharing and reflection on contemporary administrative practices.
A major focus of the grand finale was the presentation titled “Repositioning the Registry for Digital Operations,” which examined the need for the Registry to embrace digital processes, improve administrative efficiency, strengthen information management and enhance service delivery.

The session by the invited guest, Prince Tony Mac Eyeta Dogun II, highlighted the importance of moving beyond traditional paper-based processes towards efficient, secure and integrated digital operations that support timely decision-making and effective university administration.
The workshop provided a platform for participants to consider practical approaches to transforming Registry operations while preserving the principles of professionalism, accountability, accuracy and institutional continuity.

The successful conclusion of the workshop marks another step in FUOYE’s continuing effort to strengthen its administrative systems and equip its personnel with the knowledge and skills required to respond effectively to the changing demands of higher education.
