One of Nigeria’s foremost Professors of Electrical and Electronics and Dean Faculty of Engineering, Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, Professor Olaitan Akinsanmi has said a series of challenges confronting Nigeria and the world today would remain unresolved except adequate attention was given to electromagnetism without which the entire universe would go into extinction.
Besides, Prof. Akinsanmi said unless electromagnetism which remained the lifeblood of techno-dynamism was embraced by relevant authorities globally, “the wonders of our modern world would not exist.”

Prof. Akinsanmi said this at the 12th Inaugural Lecture of Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.
At the 12th Inaugural Lecture were the chairman and Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, the Deputy Vice-Chancellors Administration, Prof. Tajudeen Bolanle Opoola and the Academic, Prof. Olubunmi Shittu.
Also in attendance were the university registrar, Mr. Mufutau Ibrahim, Bursar, Mrs. Adebolanle Debo-Ajaguna, the university librarian, Dr. Isaac Busayo and other Deans, Directors, and Heads of Unit of the university including dignitaries, family, associates of the inaugural lecturer and the students.
However, Prof Akinsanmi, who held his audience spell-bound while delivering the University’s 12th Inaugural Lecture, entitled ” The Prodigious Capabilities of Electromagnetic Field and the Absolute Reliance of Techno-Dynamism on their August Existence,” said electromagnetism was vital to making the world indeed a global village.

Without electromagnetism, Prof. Akinsanmi insisted that the world may go into extinction as being the lifeblood of Techno-Dynamism, “the very essence and soul.”
Specifically, he said that the ” wonders of our modern world would not exist” except adequate attention was paid to the non-negotiable electromagnetism which was capable of driving “our very existence.”
He said: “Electromagnetism is the lifeblood of techno-dynamism; its very essence and soul.
“Without Electromagnetism, the wonders of our modern world would not exist. It’s the power that drives our industry, our knowledge, and our very existence. We must nurture, protect, and explore these invaluable resources to ensure that we can continue to innovate and transform our world for the better.

“The key to successfully leveraging Electromagnetism is to embrace it fully both in terms of innovation and collaboration. Nurture creativity and education and explore the potential of Electromagnetism to transform our world.”
However, the inaugural lecturer, whose delivery of the Lecture within one hour was applauded by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Fasina, gave some recommendations which according to him, if embraced would no doubt regulate and drive Nigeria’s economy positively.
This, Prof. Akinsanmi said would generate new knowledge and understanding about Electromagnetism with a view to transforming industries and other sectors with Electromagnetism.
He added: “Men and women, inside and outside the citadel of learning should be prepared to welcome more wonders as a technological advancement that will make our world worth a living.
“Among the expected techno-dynamism that will create wonders for our world in the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) modules which will soon come into our banking system. This doesn’t require the use of an ATM Card for banking and the problem of the stolen PIN to access your account will be permanently solved.
“The rice grain-like micro-chip will be planted on your forehead or your right-hand side that will keep information about your banking operations secured and also keep your bio-data in order to produce your curriculum vitae (CV).
“As you stand before the ATM, the machine will be able to read your mind about whatever amount you intend to withdraw from the machine.”
