    JAMB applauds FUOYE on facilities for conduct of exams

    The Joint Admission Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB), has hailed the management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) for the provision of high quality facilities for the conduct of the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) on April 19 and 20.

    JAMB officials who were at the Aare Adebayo Akomolafe CBT Centre of the University in Ire-Ekiti, to inspect the conduct of the examinations, also attested to the fact that the UTME examinations were conducted hitch-free and under very conducive and serene environment.

    It was the first time the UTME would be conducted in the Centre and the 1, 038 students who participated in the two-day exercise were pleased with the facilities.

    Commenting on the development, the Director of the FUOYE’s Centre for Continuing Education, Dr. Adeleke Omolade, said the development was possible because of the support given the Centre by the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, Aare Adebayo Akomolafe and the good people of Ire-Ekiti.

    He added that the monitoring team commended the efforts of the university for the magnificent edifice put in place for the examination. His words: “The fact that FUOYE has a very great facility for the conduct of UTME was attested to by the JAMB monitoring team led by Professor Smaranda Ayorinde, the VIce-Chancellor of the Afe Babalola University (ABUAD ).

    “ A total number of 1038 sat for UTME exam at the Centre on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th, 2024. We appreciate the donour of the CBT centre, Aare Akomolafe Adebayo who is a philanthropist with unequaled legacy in every aspect of community development.

    “We also appreciate our amiable Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, for his immense contribution to the actualisation of the objective of the core mandate of the institute of part time studies. With the facilities at the CBT Centre, school, government agencies and corporate organisations will find it useful as a training and capacity development facility for their staff members.

    “ The Aare Adebayo Akomolafe JAMB CBT center institute of part time studies federal university oye Ekiti hosted UTME students for the first time during the conduct of 2024 JAMB examinations held on April 19 and 20 at Ire Ekiti campus of the institute of part time studies. The FOUYE JAMB CBT centre has successfully hosted the candidates under a very conducive atmosphere,” he said.
