The 2025 Alumni Election of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has successfully produced a new set of executives to lead the alumni community, with Taye Adebisi Ojo emerging as the President-Elect.

The election, which was conducted online, recorded a total of 682 votes cast, reflecting FUOYE’s growing embrace of technology-driven transparency and inclusive participation among its graduates.
Other elected officers include:
Motunrayo Oyedele – Vice President
Esan Femi – General Secretary
Salahudeen Teslim Ayowale – Assistant General Secretary
Akinyemi David Oluwasegun – Financial Secretary
Ojo Isaac Sanmi – Treasurer
Ige Kehinde Abimbola – Welfare Officer
Promise Eniola Olugbeje – Social Secretary
Amure Segun Emmanuel – Public Relations Officer
Victor Daramola – Assistant PRO
The election was observed by key university officials, including Barrister Eni Lawrence, Head of the Legal Unit; Mr. Abiola Adekunle, representative of the University Registrar; Mr. Emmanuel Adohoje, from the Academic Affairs Unit; and Dr. Adetunberu Oludotun, former Global President of the EKSU Alumni Association. Agents of the contestants were also present to monitor proceedings and ensure fairness and transparency.

Observers commended the orderly conduct of the election and the commitment of the FUOYE Alumni community to upholding democratic values
Speaking after the poll, the Electoral Committee expressed appreciation to all participants for their cooperation and decorum throughout the process, while urging the new executives to build on existing foundations and advance alumni engagement.
The Directorate of Advancement, led by Professor Olubukola Oyawoye, who supervised the entire process, reaffirmed its dedication to sustaining transparency and inclusiveness in alumni affairs, and to fostering stronger connections between graduates and their alma mater.
In her words ” I want to commend the Alumni Association, Electoral committee, and Fuoye community for the peaceful election and also commended outgoned Executive under the leadership of Comrade Temitope for his contribution to the growth and development of the alumni association and the university at large”
