…say VC remains architect of modern FUOYE

Students of Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria have passed a resounding vote of confidence in pragmatic Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina, who the students fondly referred to as a father and architect of modern FUOYE.

The students passed the vote of confidence in the Vice-Chancellor at a-3 Day retreat for students’ leaders held between December 14 and 16, 2024 at Mucenty Hotel, Omuaran, Kwara State, Nigeria.
Justice Ajisafe Victor Oladeji moved a motion and seconded by Senator Oloyede Marvellous, representing the good students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, saying they were solidly behind the Nigeria’s best Vice-Chancellor of nation’s fastest-growing university.

The vote of confidence in Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina was unanimously accepted by the three organs of the Students Body.
The students said Professor Fasina unwavering dedication to the growth and development of the University had been truly inspiring.

They said his approachable demeanor and genuine concern for the well-being of students had no doubt earned him the utmost respect and admiration from the entire student body.
They said: “Under his leadership, our university has undergone remarkable transformation with state-of-the-art facilities and a conducive learning environment.

“We are grateful to have such a visionary and proactive leader at the helm and we have full confidence that his continued guidance will take FUOYE to even greater heights in the future. “
The student, however, spoke glowingly of the Vice-Chancellor’s efforts at transforming the university, saying the Vice-Chancellor had performed wonderfully well in improving the university’s infrastructure in the last four years of his administration.

Their tone of voice was filled with praises, songs and admiration as they went on to describe how the Vice-Chancellor had modernized facilities and created a more conducive learning environment for students.
The impact of the Vice-Chancellor’s modus operandi was evident to students as they expressed gratitude for the positive changes that had so far been made under the leadership of the working-Vice-Chancellor.

Meanwhile, FUOYENews gathered that the trio of constituent bodies within the Union, including The Students’ Executive Council (SEC), The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and The Students’ Judicial Council (SJC), acknowledged the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina as a figure worthy of emulation and a lover of students.
