The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria (FUOYE),has assured the Ayedun-Ekiti community of his leadership’s commitment to making an arm of the University’s Institute of Part-Time programme in the community an envy of others.

This, he said stemmed from a demonstrated commitment by the leaders of the agrarian community to ensure a seemless partnership with FUOYE with a view to enhancing collaborative responsibility.

Professor Fasina said: “I have interest and I don’t want you to lose interest. The university will give what it takes for the Part-Time programme to continue. Where we are, our mission is to develop and turn the community into a Commerce.

“I can assure you that the Centre will not die; it will continue and we will handle the survey and we must find a way to renovate in partnership.

“We partner with many communities and we usually sign an MOU with the towns and communities so that we will not have issues in future. So, on your part, we need the community to contribute to the development of the center.”

Earlier, HRM Oba Engr. Femi Aribisala (Alaaye of Oke Ayedun Ekiti), (Ogbo Todumare Gbo tilu), who spoke on behalf of other Royal fathers, lauded the Vice-Chancellor and the University management team for their commitment to their renewed hope

Also speaking, Hon Akin Rotimi Jnr. expressed his willingness to contribute his quota towards the development of the school.

He said: “I want you to give us the roadmap to know exactly what you want and avail me of the developmental projects that you have. With that, we can plan together on how we can make progress.

“We are ready to do our part as a community to enable the school at Ayedun to continue to expand in leap and bound.”

On the visiting team were HRM Oba Solomon Ilesanmi Ajibade (Owa of Odo Ayedun), HRM Oba Babatunde Ogunsakin ( Elesun of Esun Ekiti) and High Chief Ola Adeniyi (Obamila of Odo Ayedun).
