The Vice-Chancellor Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Prof. Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole has extended goodwill messages to the Christians and Muslims community of the university as Lent and Ramadan begin simultaneously today.

The Vice-Chancellor, who described the convergence as a “rare spiritual coincidence to cherish and revere,” urged both the Christians and the Muslims to use the period for prayer.
He said: “Let our fasting remind us of the suffering of our neighbours and our prayers stand as a shield over our university.
“May our sacrifices be accepted and may this unique alignment ursher in peace and tranquility in the university. A Holy Lent and Ramadan Kareem to us all.”
