Bimbo Daramola has expressed his desire to host FUOYE Undergraduate Chartered Accountants to a dinner. In a short piece, Beacons for Mind Shift “School is not scam!” made available to the information desk, Federal University Oye-Ekiti, he noted that the dinner is a good opportunity to share their experiences and inspire others, to support those struggling with their decisions, and to encourage a pursuit of substance over the fleeting attractions of social media.

Bimbo Bamidele noted that the young undergraduate chartered accountants are calm, composed, and warm-hearted, unlike others who might exhibit arrogance after such accomplishments.

In his words, Bimbo Bamidele said, “This would not be as noteworthy if ICAN were just another compromised public examination. However, ICAN has maintained its integrity, ensuring that only the deserving pass its rigorous exams, from Foundation to PE 1 and PE 2.”

He added, “As a banker in the 90s, I attempted the ICAN exams but found them extremely challenging, likely due to my background as a geologist and my disinterest in accounting principles. Becoming a chartered accountant requires extraordinary determination and commitment, which many, including older individuals, struggle with. The exams are not only difficult but also expensive. Therefore, encountering young people willing to forgo today’s distractions to focus on passing ICAN exams is truly inspiring.”

Bimbo Bamidele celebrated the young individuals who defy the prevailing “school is a scam” mentality and noted that they deserve recognition and encouragement for their hard work and dedication.

In a world where our values are constantly challenged, it is crucial to highlight those who embody the future we desire, rather than succumbing to the pervasive influence of social media and reality TV shows, he said.
