All roads lead to the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), as a Professor of Food Chemistry of the institution and Secretary to the Ekiti state Government, Professor Habibat Omolara Adubiaro will on Tuesday April 28, 2026 deliver the 23rd inaugural lecture of the university.
Entitled “From Biodiversity to Biovalue” . the lecture will take place at the New 1000 Sitting Capacity Hall, FUOYE main campus.
The lecture which will be presided over by the university Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole is expected to attract scholars in the sciences, and industry stakeholders interested in food chemistry.
In her lecture, Prof. Adubiaro will discuss the untapped potential of local flora, addressing critical global challenges, such as food security, nutritional optimization, and sustainable industrial application of plant-based bio resources.
A reception will thereafter follow the lecture at AB-Events Centre Opopogboro, Ado-Ekiti.
As a renowned expert, Prof. Adubiaro’s work has garnered recognition, including her recent promotion to the rank of Professor of Chemistry, which was applauded by Ekiti state Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji.
Prof. Adubiaro who recently marked her 60th birthday by celebrating with children at the Therapy Centre for Children with Disabilities in Ado-Ekiti is generally respected for her philanthropic efforts.
